Thesis Statement

  • A good thesis statement is found in the first paragraph.
  • Be as clear and specific as possible. Avoid vague words.
  • Do not bury a great thesis statement in the middle of a paragraph or late in the paper.
  • Indicate the point of your paper but do not use sentences like, "The point of my paper is..."
